WINDPUFFS

Possible applications in the case of (not yet hardened) windpuffs:
In the case of hardened windpuffs, please consult your veterinarian or physiotherapist to exclude the presence of bone fragments before using EquiCrown®.
  • to support or supplement the (holistic) therapy after tendon surgery or injuries
  • during exercise to support the tendon apparatus
  • after training for faster recovery
  • in the paddock or pasture
  • overnight in the case of swelling

To use EquiCrown®, the windpuffs should be soft and not yet hardened. Before using EquiCrown® to treat tendon problems, please discuss your horse's particular situation with your veterinarian or physiotherapist.

TENDON INJURIES

Possible applications in the case of tendon injuries:

  • after exercise (training, rides, etc.) for approx. 1-4 hours
  • during exercise (massage effect)
  • in the paddock or pasture
  • overnight (in the stall)

Before using EquiCrown® to treat tendon problems, please discuss your horse's particular situation with your veterinarian or physiotherapist.

CHRONIC LYMPHANGITIS/CELLULITIS

Possible applications in the case of chronic Lymphangitis/Cellulitis:
Before measuring up your horse and using EquiCrown® compression bandages, please consult with our office.

    Once the leg is decongested to the point where (for the time being) no further improvement is possible, the leg can be measured for an EquiCrown FIT or ACTIVE compression bandage. The bandage would then ideally be worn for 24h/day.

    WOUNDS

    Possible applications in the case of acute/open wounds:

    • the bandage should only be used in conjunction with a wound dressing (do not apply directly to the open wound)
    • the bandage should ideally be applied 24/7 to the horse's leg
    • reapply the bandage on a daily or regular basis after inspecting the wound


    Possible applications in the case of chronic/closed wounds:

    • the bandage can be applied directly to the closed wound (without a wound dressing)
    • the bandage should ideally be applied 24/7 to the horse's leg
    • inspect the wound on a daily or regular basis
